Ex-Eurostar départ Calais Fréthun. Arrêt à Lille Europe et se terminant à Paris Nord. Dispose d'un Eurostar passant aussi.
A short walk from the Calais Ville train station is the Calais tourist center. If exiting the train station go acorss the bridge and you can't miss it. Good place to get info on Calais, bus to the ferry station, restaurants or a local map.

"THE JUNGLE" CAMP STORY: The morning was calm in Calais on Saturday (August 1) as migrants rested after a night of wandering around railways, trying to sneak into the Channel Tunnel leading to Britain. The migrants' camp, known as "the jungle", has seen an increase in the number of people, but quite a few of them tried to sleep in Calais centre after what has been a quiet night, as security increased around the...
Marksteen Adamson tells Justin Brierley about meeting refugees at the Calais ‘jungle’ and the makeshift church as he gathered images for The Stations. The Stations is an artistic re-interpretation of the stations of the cross told through the images and stories of today's refugees. Walk from Gare de Calais-Ville Train Station to the P&O Ferry Terminal. The walk is about 2.6km (1.6 miles) and takes 20-30 minutes. There is also a shuttle bus that runs for 2 Euros. There is a P&O ticket office in the city square where you can buy tickets and then grab lunch in the city or just continue on and grab a bite in the Ferry Terminal.
The number of refugees and migrants camping around Paris' Stalingrad metro station has grown since Monday when the refugee camp in Calais known as the “Jungle” began to be dismantled. Footage shot on Friday in the area bordering the 10th and 19th arrondissement showed crowded rows of tents lining the pavement under the rail tracks. The Holden Commodore Sportwagon is the only Australian-built station wagon you can buy. Wagons have been important to Australia, so James takes a look at two cars, fifty years apart - the 2014 Holden Calais V Sportwagon and the 1964 EH Holden Special Station Sedan. When the EH was on sale in 1964, Australia had a population of only 11 million people and was still a couple of years away from having decimal currency. The EH Holden was Australia's best-selling car and came in three trim levels - Standard, Special and Premier. There were two 6-cylinder engine options - a 149ci and 179ci 'red motor' putting out about 85kW. On the road the EH Holden feels light and fun to drive. There are no safety features found in modern cars - not even seatbelts! For 1960's Australia, this would have bee...
Calais France A Day trip in just 5 minutes (town, beach and fun). Short video tour of Calais, just 21 miles across the English Channel in France. Take a tour of Calais City Hall in Calais, France -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats. Calais, France is home to an outlandish and elegant city hall. This town, in the northernmost part of France, boasts an exceptionally beautiful Flemish Renaissance architectural styled city hall. The strikingly magnificent turreted clock tower slices through the sky and is visible from all over town. The slow-going construction of this city hall was initiated around the start of the 20th century. The belfry erupts with a ring that is almost as beautiful as the structure itself. The city hall of Calais will excite every sense and leave ever lasting memories.
Lille is the largest city of the French Flanders in northern France. It is the principal city of the Lille Métropole, the fourth-largest metropolitan area in the country behind those of Paris, Lyon and Marseille. Lille is situated on the Deûle River, near France's border with Belgium. It is the capital of the Nord-Pas de Calais region and the prefecture of the Nord department. This video features views around the City Centre of Lille including the following identified locations: Gare de Lille Europe, Place François Miterand, Tour de Lille (Lille Tower), Euralille, Gare de Lille Flandres, Rue Faidherbe, Opéra de Lille, Lille Chamber of Commerce Belfry, Rue de Paris, Place du Général de Gaulle, Christmas Wheel, Column of the Goddess, Rue des Trons Couronnes, Lille Old Stock Exchange, Lille ...
It was a very quiet late Friday afternoon crossing in my Motorhome so I decided to keep my Dash-Cam footage and make this "drive through" to help anyone who is wondering what the process of getting on the train is. As I was in a Motorhome, the boarding was into a large single decker carriage. Cars without roofboxes or roof racks are usually placed in double decker carriages, however, the boarding process is exactly the same. As mentioned at the end of the video, Calais is similar but slightly different so watch until the end for the subtle differences.

For more aerial drone shots of Genoa, please see Stefano McCoy's channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsgQjacVyrNWo5vSmjsdAzQ The gritty maze of the medieval city that makes up the core of Genoa is both beauty and the beast. The grandeur and heritage of this once great trading city lives side by side with modern vice and decrepitude. The odious smelling alleys give way to modern and chic restaurants and shops. Genoa is one of the most difficult of cities to describe and is very different from more generally travelled Italian cities like Rome, Florence or Venice. My Grandfathers WWII RAF flight record for those that might be interested - the campaign against Genoa looks to be one of his earlier flights: First Tour 25 June 1942 - Bremen (6.30) 29 July 1942 - Dusseldorf (3.00) 10 ...
The Channel Tunnel (French: Le tunnel sous la Manche; also nicknamed and shortened to Chunnel) is a 50.5-kilometre (31.4 mi) rail tunnel linking Folkestone, Kent, in the United Kingdom, with Coquelles, Pas-de-Calais, near Calais in northern France, beneath the English Channel at the Strait of Dover. At its lowest point, it is 75 m (250 ft) deep. At 37.9 kilometres (23.5 mi), the tunnel has the longest undersea portion of any tunnel in the world, although the Seikan Tunnel in Japan is both longer overall at 53.85 kilometres (33.46 mi) and deeper at 240 metres (790 ft) below sea level. The speed limit in the tunnel is 160 kilometres per hour (99 mph). The tunnel carries high-speed Eurostar passenger trains, the Eurotunnel Shuttle for road vehicles—the largest such transpor...
